Trust Tarantino to serve up some classic head-exploding violence, and that's exactly what happens when Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson) suspects that Mexican Bob (Demian Bichir) isn't who he says he is. He confronts him, calls him a liar and then pops two bullets into his chest at close range, sending him crashing to the floor as a bloody mess. That's not the end of it, though: Warren then presides over the corpse, aims his two pistols once again, and fires at Bob's head, exploding it into fine spray of blood and brain matter. It's outrageously entertaining and totally unexpected, even for the standards of a gore-soaked Tarantino film. It probably helps that the movie's pretty talky up to this point.
