20 Best Movie Deaths Of The Decade
16. Mysterio - Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
Sometimes, it's not the mode of death but something else about it that makes it stand out over others. That's very much the case with the death of Jake Gyllenhaal's smug, snarky Quentin Beck, whose plan to destroy Tony Stark's legacy and effectively hold the world ransom falls apart when Peter Parker learns the truth. He's killed - because MCU movies like to tie off villainous loose ends more often than not - and Peter goes back to being a hero.
But then, right at the end of the movie, we learn that Quentin's death didn't go quite as simply as we thought and he spent his dying moments revealing Spider-Man's secret identity and weaponising the world's media (and his former fans) against him. It's a huge gut-punch that sets up an incredible sequel and it's the real best way to destroy Starks' legacy.
