10. Isle Of Dogs
Wes Anderson serves up another reliably stylish, pithily witty hit with this disarmingly offbeat animation, making the most of its unique setting and cultural flavour, not to mention Anderson's usual meticulous framing and cast of usual suspects.
Anderson newcomer Bryan Cranston is the easy highlight, however, as canine protagonist Chief, even if the movie succeeds best as a lush piece of visual storytelling, as entertaining as its script undeniably is.
If you're not a fan of Anderson's prior work this will do absolutely nothing to change your mind, but if you're keen, it'll deliver pretty much exactly what you should reasonably expect.
Plus, where else can you see Tilda Swinton voicing a pug who professes to be a psychic? Marvellous.
