Without question the best movie ever to feature a Friends star is Brad Bird's 1999 animated masterpiece The Iron Giant.

This is a deeply touching film about a young boy, Hogarth (Eli Marienthal), who befriends a giant robot (Vin Diesel) which crash-lands on Earth in the middle of the Cold War.

It's sweet, for sure, but has so much more on its mind than that - namely a potent examination of the futility of war and humanity's seemingly genetically-coded predisposition to self-destruction.

Jennifer Aniston plays the role of Hogarth's put-upon, widowed mother Annie, and she does a fantastic job exuding both warmth and exasperation even if she's hardly the main attraction here.
