Joe Swanberg delivers one of his best and most accessible efforts to date with this dramedy following a gambling addict (Jake Johnson) who finds himself in hot water after gambling away a duffel bag full of money he was watching for an imprisoned pal.

This could so easily have translated into a movie too silly and convoluted to be relatable, but Swanberg's expert tonal-shifting combined with Johnson's terrific performance - surely the best of his career so far - make this both an easy sit and a legitimately excellent character study.

Swanberg's such a great fit for Netflix, so hopefully more of his future projects quickly come to the streaming platform too.
