20 Best Netflix Original Movies Of 2018 - Ranked
16. Set It Up
On the basis of its marketing, this summer Netflix rom-com looked like nothing more than your typical forgettable schmaltz-fest, so what a pleasant surprise it was that Set It Up turned out to be unexpectedly charming and well-acted.
As a pair of under-appreciated interns scheming to make their horrible bosses fall in love, Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell are a delightful duo, with easy, relaxed chemistry as they rip through Katie Silberman's surprisingly sharp, self-aware dialogue.
Taye Diggs and Lucy Liu are also great fun as the aforementioned bosses in a film that could hardly be called unpredictable, yet still manages to inject an uncommon amount of charm into a well-worn genre formula.
Perfect froth for a lazy Sunday, basically.
