20 Best Performances In MCU History (So Far)
8. Chris Hemsworth - Thor
The seductive Lord (sorry, God) of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth is about to headline his fourth solo outing as Thor Odinson, a character who's been through more heartache, betrayals and near-death experiences than perhaps anyone in the entire MCU.
After all, this is a man who's witnessed the deaths of his father, mother, brother, best friend, most of his people, his ally Tony Stark, and his demonic sister. Always the most powerful person in the room, his losses at the hands of Thanos shook him to the core, turning him into a depressed shell of the man he once was.
Throughout all this drama and death, Chris Hemsworth has had a lot of work to do, bringing an easy charm and almost childlike naivety to the role in his early years, before commanding respect as a hero of Asgard and a trusted Avenger.
Alternating between beaten down and emotionally crushed to hilarious and laidback, Hemsworth brings Thor to life with heaps of heart and humour to spare. Thor: Love and Thunder can't come soon enough.
