17. Emma Watson - Hermione Granger

Harry Potter Voldemort
Warner Bros.

Emma Watson is arguably the best actor of the main trio. Hermione Granger is an absolutely amazing character who's damn-near impossible not to love, and they needed a very good young actor to do her justice. Luckily, they got one in the form of Emma Watson.

Yes, Emma Watson looks different than how Hermione was originally envisioned to be, but that really doesn't matter; she was still a great Hermione, even if she had a shaky start in the first film.

Watson was a wonderfully endearing and wise leading character throughout the Harry Potter films, who had flawless chemistry with her co-stars and handled the emotional moments beautifully too. Watson did briefly considering quitting the series halfway-through at one point and it's a huge relief that she didn't. After all, in many ways, she was the heart of the entire thing.

It's no surprise that she's become the most successful actor from the main trio and she has continued to do good work since... as long as she isn't attempting to do an American accent (The Bling Ring and 2019's Little Women, anyone?).
