20 Best Selling Blu-Rays Of All Time

2. Frozen

Total Copies Sold: 6,506,691 Frozen has been available on Blu-Ray for less than six months. Just pause to take that in; in a little more than the time between a film premiering in cinemas and first becoming available on DVD Disney's latest has bested all but one other film on the format in terms of sales. We strongly expect in a couple of years this movie will proudly sit atop this list. Quite how this happened should be abundantly clear; Frozen might just be the most perfect family film ever made. Subverting the conventions of the studio's usual princess stories (both find-a-husband from the classics and fight-against-tradition of the nineties renaissance), its family oriented story makes a refreshing change, while the villain twist is so unexpected everyone, from five-year old girls to their stoic fathers, was shocked. And the songs aren't bad either. Even with scenes that jar a little (hello there trolls), it never bores on rewatch, with the heartbreaking-cum-heartwarming finale almost reaching Pixar heights. It was such a phenomenon (it's the biggest animated movie ever and the fifth highest grossing film of all time) that getting the Blu-Ray was pretty much a no brainer for families and animation fans alike.
