Best: Batman (1989) Beetlejuice might well be Keaton's most transformative performance (and his most grotesque), but his take on Batman was far more nuanced and captured a side of the character that nobody else has managed since. Despite all of the criticisms that met his casting initially, Keaton managed to completely sell the idea that it was Bruce Wayne, and not Batman who was the real mask, and that the suit was liberating, rather than simply a burden. Worst: White Noise (2005) Anything this high concept as a horror/thriller could have got over if it packed in some genuine scares, but they were clearly at a premium, and the end result was a silly mess.
