Best: Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004) Though she has typically drawn more plaudits for grittier, weightier performances, Winslet's truly star-making role saw her cast off the wide-eyed image of Titanic (albeit via excellent turns in Quills and Iris) thanks to a richly layered, quirky portrait of contradiction and complexity. Her Clementine was like the most dangerous, intoxicating Woody Allen character with a nastier sting, and her performance is so captivating that you can't help but tumble helplessly in love with her alongside Jim Carrey. Worst: Movie 43 (2013) Did anyone survive the ravages of this god-awful comedy cesspool? No, but it stings all the more that actors of Winslet's acclaim were somehow coerced into appearing in glorified, grotesque cameos that will forever be seen as a glaring footnote in their otherwise impressive careers. You can't even put it down to "slumming it", because this garbage is several steps below the slums.
