Best: Disobedience (2018)

Rachel Weisz had a great 2018, with The Favourite and The Mercy both ranking highly, but it is her performance in Disobedience that is arguably even better than her turn as Lady Sarah in The Favourite.

In that tale of repressed sexuality and awakenings, she and Rachel McAdams build incredible chemistry as forbidden lovers wrestling with the shape and restrictions of their faith and a community geared towards shaming them for what they are.

Worst: Dream House (2011)

Despite having Weisz, Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts as its principle cast, Jim Sheridan's thriller Dream House is a derivative, painfully dull mess and none of the stars come off particularly well at all.
