20 Biggest Mistakes In The DCEU So Far

5. Ares Is Yet Another Dull CGI Villain (Wonder Woman)

As refreshingly good as Wonder Woman was, it sadly wasn't totally free from the excesses that have defined the other DCEU movies, specifically a rather clunky third act which sees Diana facing off against, you guessed it, a CGI villain.

After defeating General Ludendorff, Diana has to battle Ares, who has transformed from the seemingly human Sir Patrick Morgan into a digital monstrosity with the actor just barely, and ridiculously, visible underneath.

It's a shame the film has to concede to superhero formula so blatantly in its finale, and while it certainly didn't feel as sloppy as Batman v Superman's digital conclusion, it was just a rather boring, arbitrary way to end an otherwise highly entertaining film.
