20 Biggest Mistakes In The DCEU So Far

15. Spoiling Doomsday In The Trailers (Batman V Superman)

Surely the biggest marketing mistake Warner Bros. has made to date is spoiling the arrival of Doomsday in Batman v Superman several months before the movie hit cinemas.

Did fans really need to know ahead of time that Lex Luthor was going to unleash a naff-looking CGI monstrosity on the heroes, or further still, that Wonder Woman would then beam down to help out?

Though studies have been undertaken by movie studios which suggest that broad audiences prefer spoilerific marketing so they know exactly what they're going to see, it's absolutely infuriating for anyone who actually wants to be surprised.

The only big surprise in the entire movie was the death of Superman, but once Doomsday was known to be in the film, it became far more probable that Zack Snyder might try to adapt this arc.

If the Justice League marketing doesn't even show Steppenwolf, that'd be absolutely fine.
