20 Biggest Movies Of 2016: What Do We Already Know?

18. Ghostbusters

Release Date: July 22, 2016. Who's Involved: Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) directs, while he and Katie Dippold (Parks and Recreation, The Heat) will write the script. The four female leads are Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, while Peter Dinklage is apparently being sought for the villain role. What's The Story?: Details are scarce, though rumours suggest it may revolve around Dinklage playing a dangerous criminal who is executed and then returns as a pesky ghost. Will It Be Any Good?: There's a lot of concern that the movie may reek of tokenism, yet if it doesn't lean on the iconography of the previous movies to much, then there's a good chance this could actually be pretty fun. Bonus points if they can talk Bill Murray and the other surviving Ghostbusters into reprising their roles even if only for a cameo.
