20 Bizarre Censored Lines That Hilariously Ruined Great Scenes

18. Back To The Future

Back-to-the-FutureThe Original: Libyan terrorists kill Doc Brown for failing to make them a bomb using the stolen Plutonium that is referenced in the opening sequence of the movie. The Ridiculous Redub... The Libyans are all but removed €“ or at least their motives are, as any mention of terrorism has been wiped out of the movie by sensitive editors, who also clearly couldn't tolerate any blasphemy, though they rather uncharacteristically retained a few light curses. The result is that there's no real build-up to the attack on Doc's initial experiment, and no explanation for why the Libyans are attacking (which actually serves to shoe-horn in an unintentionally racist sub-story that at any time, around every corner, there could be a Libyan set to blow you up.) Doc is never killed, which must have been pleasant for him, though it makes Marty's decision to flee the scene and leave him pretty much unforgivable.

17. What About Bob?

The Original: Hypochondriac, multi-phobic Bob fakes Touretter's Syndrome in order to ensure that he doesn't have it. The Ridiculous Redub: The TV friendly version replaced Tourette's with €œBuddy's Disease,€ an entirely made-up condition that gives the editors license to tone down Bob's Tourette's outbursts. Quite why this was done, when Bob is still pretty profane, remains up for discussion, since the renaming of the disease seems ludicrous, unless the editors were somehow suggesting that its very mention was offensive?
