20 Brilliantly Obscure Comic Book Movie Easter Eggs You Didn't Notice

13. Galactus' Shadow (Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer)

The version of Galactus that was depicted in the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer movie was absolutely terrible. Rather than seeing the gigantic humanoid in purple armour that we know from the comic books, we got a faceless giant cloud with no redeeming qualities or any kind of personality. However, in a nod to the classic version of the character (which makes you wonder why they didn't just go with him in the movie, if they knew about his true form), as Galactus was approaching Earth to devour it for sustenance, the shadow that he cast over Saturn was clearly reminiscent of the shape of the helmet he wears in the comic books. Sadly, for those watching the movie for the first time - if they were eagle-eyed enough to notice it - it gave the impression that Galactus would be appearing in his classic form and thus led to disappointment when he was revealed to be nothing more than a massive cloud.
