20 Characters Most Changed From The Comics In The MCU

10. Odin

Sir Anthony Hopkins portrayal of Odin suits the Marvel Cinematic Universe down to the ground - it really works on screen. However, it's very different to the comic book Allfather. The comic book version is ridiculously powerful and, had the live action version been portrayed in the same way, it would probably just turn out silly. Odin has the ability to destroy galaxies as a side effect of the battles he has with equally powerful foes like the serpent god Set. He is insanely super strong and durable, possesses planet-busting energy blasts, can manipulate various forms of magical energy, can cast illusions, use telepathy, erect forcefields, manipulate and rearrange matter, can teleport and levitate. And that's really just touching the surface. He's also a very huge, almost rotund man. The Marvel Cinematic Universe version, whilst implied as being powerful, hasn't displayed anywhere near that level of power. He can grant power to and strip it away from Thor at will and he can seemingly transport himself and others across realms but, other than that, he seems like a normal Asgardian. He is also very slightly built in comparison to his comic book counterpart.
