20 Characters Most Changed From The Comics In The MCU

1. The Mandarin

Without any shadow of a doubt, the biggest - and by far the most controversial - character alteration in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was that of the Mandarin. In the comic books, he is Iron Man's arch-enemy and a Chinese martial artist whose skill is so great that he can challenge Iron Man in hand-to-hand combat with his bare hands. He also possesses ten alien rings that grant him powers such as telepathy, control over certain aspects of the weather, teleportation and control over metal. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was presented as a role performed by a drunken British actor to provide Aldrich Killian's terrorist activities with a face. That's right - he didn't even exist. Of course, the Marvel One-Shot movie All Hail The King has since explained that the real Mandarin is out there - but audiences certainly haven't seen him yet. So there you have it - the twenty characters most changed from the comics in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Did you enjoy this article? Do you agree with the entries on this list?
