Dan Aykroyd and especially John Belushi's cocaine habit might have swollen the budget for The Blues Brothers but their prodigious snorting didn't have a negative impact on the end result, which was one of the funniest comedies to come out of the 80s. The less said about Blues Brothers 2000 the better... The Blues Brothers is the only comedy to appear on this list, which perhaps isn't surprising since car chases are rarely associated with funny films (unless we travel back through cinematic time to the Keystone Cops). The car chases here are stupid, messy and completely unsophisticated, which is what lends them their charm.
