If there's one thing that Tom Cruise likes his characters to do, it's save the world. While this may or may not imply that he has an ego the size of the Burj Khalifa, one thing you can't accuse him of is wimping out when it comes to performing his own stunts - few other A-list actors are quite so committed to delivering the goods themselves. A stand-out stunt for the star comes in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. Jackie Chan's slide down the side of the Willemswerf building might have been more dangerous, but Cruise's exploits around the exterior of the world's tallest building remains one of the most impressively staged stunt sequences in recent years. Proving that he's not afraid of heights, Cruise even took a break to sit on the very top of the building and soak up the view.
