20 Crazy Facts You Just Have To Accept To Enjoy The Transformers Franchise

9. Ridiculous Macho Dialogue

The Transformers movies aren't exactly the pinnacle of anything but glorious slow-motion explosions, and this is particularly true when it pertains to writing bada** characters. The typical results are hammy, hyper-macho exchanges that prove unintentionally hilarious, be it pretty much every line of dialogue emerging from Tyrese's mouth during the first three movies (almost always a "Woah!"-like reaction to something exploding), or Titus Welliver's infamous "My face is my warrant" from Age of Extinction. The Transformer characters don't really fare much better (despite some insanely cool voice acting), with Optimus Prime being forced to spout cheesy lines like, "When I find out who€™s behind this, he€™s going to die", and pretty much every line of dialogue coming from the mouth of John Goodman's cigar-chomping robot Hound sounds like a kid shouting down his microphone during a round of Call of Duty ("Take that, b****! You€™re dead!"). Though not quite as cringe-worthy as some of the lame attempts at humour, these moments do at least contribute heavily to the series' Swiss cheese quotient.
