13. Wasted Actors

The number of brilliant actors wasted in these movies is absolutely ridiculous: to date, the most high-profile cast members needlessly lending to their talents to the franchise include Jon Voight, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Alan Tudyk, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer. Now, on one hand, who can fault these actors for taking an easy and surely extremely large paycheque for a few days of shooting on a huge movie guaranteed to make bank? Even so, with such esteemed actors landing on the roster, it's a shame the script didn't at least try to give each of them a little more to do. Only Tucci, who is by far the MVP of Age of Extinction, really had fun with the fact he knew he was in a garbage movie and just hammed it up for the cheap seats. Most of the other actors just seemed pretty tired and bored throughout.
