20 Creepiest Stephen King Movie Moments

7. The Adult Genocide - Children Of The Corn (1984)

Over the years, Stephen King has ruined proms, dogs, clowns, as well as red-and-white Plymouth Furies for us, but it€™s his depiction of kids in Children Of The Corn that is perhaps his most disconcerting. The film tells the tale of a fictitious rural town of Gatlin, Nebraska that is inhabited by adult-hating kids. In this town a crazed religious fanatic, Isaac Chroner, calls all the shots. How does a little boy come to run a town? Well, the town in the film relies upon corn for the health of its economy. One year, the crops failed and the mysterious boy preacher appeared and brainwashed all of the kids into killing the adults as a sacrifice. The opening scene of the film shows the murderous uprising of the children in all of its gruesome glory. The scene is shocking and stunningly cold (not even the hammy narration can bring it down). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9Thzo6QLNE
