4. Regan MacNeil - The Exorcist (1973)
It is a pity that Regan is inflicted with demonic possession because when she is in a state of normalcy, she is a sweet, shy child who is very attached to her mother. Nevertheless, who wants to be a parent to a demon possessed child? Regan's oeuvre of unpleasantness includes speaking in a profane manner, rotating her head 180 degrees, puking buckets full of pea green soup, masturbating violently with a crucifix, killing her mother's crush and dispatching of several priests. Her poor mother goes through agony in the film trying to find a cure for Regan's affliction and she is brought to the point of nervous breakdown by the terrible stress of it all. Definitely not a scenario you would want to repeat for yourself unless you are into extreme parenting.
