20 Most Cringeworthy Star Trek Film Moments

6. Picard's Fantasy Life - Star Trek: Generations

Picard PapaParamount PicturesThere's something so twee and drippy about this scene, even once Guinan shows up, that we have some trouble believing that this is what Picard would ever want - especially given his long-expressed dislike of children. It's also meant to remind us that Picard's still suffering loss over his brother and nephew Rene, both of whom have died. But no one really remembers that Rene is in this scene. Instead, all that most of us remember is Picard's faux daughter and the over-the-top line, "Papa, thank you for the doll." Ugh. No wonder Picard hates kids.
