20 Most Disappointing Movies Of The 2000s

15. Terminator Salvation (2009)

Granted, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was no masterpiece, but it was an admirable film that did a good enough job at continuing on from where Terminator 2: Judgment Day left off. Unfortunately, the follow-up to Rise of the Machines failed to take the franchise in any worthwhile direction - only down. So Christian Bale takes over the role of John Connor here, as he leads the fight against Skynet in an attempt to prevent the end of the world. It's safe to say, then, that the feverish excitement that fans of this long-awaited movie felt upon entering the cinema was all but evaporated by the time the credits started rolling. Something akin to an "aimless mess of a movie," Salvation relied too much on CGI and not enough on actual story. What was the real point in telling us this chapter? Whatever it is, there is most certainly something crucial missing. Mr. James Cameron, perhaps?
