20 Doctor Who Actors Who Have Been In Star Wars (& 2 Who Will Be)
7. Michael Sheard
Star Wars fans know Sheard's character best for his death scene. Having messed up the attack on the rebel base on Hoth by bringing the Imperial fleet out of hyperspace too close to the planet, Admiral Ozzel attempts to report the situation to Lord Vader via viewscreen. Vader isn't interested in the Admiral's excuses and immediately force chokes the officer to death in full view of the flagship's entire command staff, simultaneously promoting the more competent Captain Piett to command. Failing Darth Vader is not a wise mistake to make. As far as Whovians are concerned, they can probably name one or two roles played by Sheard, depending on the eras they are most familiar with. But Sheard has actually taken on six roles in televised Doctor Who, in The Ark, The Mind of Evil, Pyramids of Mars, The Invisible Enemy, Castrovalva, and Remembrance of the Daleks. These myriad performaces, as villains and as sympathetic supporting characters, have led to him starring alongside every classic Doctor except for Patrick Troughton and Colin Baker. Sheard even did a Big Finish audio drama, The Stones of Venice, with Paul McGann!
