20 Doctor Who Actors Who Have Been In Star Wars (& 2 Who Will Be)
6. Brian Blessed
Brian Blessed's thunderous voice leaves an impression, even from a couple of rooms away. So anyone who's seen The Phantom Menace and the Mindwarp portion of Doctor Who's The Trial of a Time Lord season is probably already aware that the Gungan chief Boss Nass is voiced by the same man who played King Yrcanos. Blessed was also approached to play the Doctor in the mid-1960s but he turned it down because he was too busy. Patrick Troughton took the part instead, and the rest is history. Blessed says he has come to regret his decision and would now, if offered, accept the part in a heartbeat.
