1. Superman Throws A Giant Cellophane 'S' - Superman II
And finally, we come to a moment so ridiculously silly that it temporarily derails an otherwise pretty damn solid Superman movie. When General Zod (Terrence Stamp) and his cohorts arrive at the Fortress of Solitude, Supes hurls his "S" emblem at one of the Kryptonians, Non (Jack O'Halloran), which turns into a giant cellophane version of the logo and wraps around Non, temporarily incapacitating him. It's an extremely weird and out-of-place moment in the film, one that's never even remotely explained and not a power we've seen Superman use before or since. He's got heat vision, the power of flight and all this other awesome stuff, and he decides to go with a cellophane S? Superman nerds might argue that this is a defensive power granted to him due to his presence in the Fortress, but it's still as dumb as box of rocks, and something most fans prefer to forget or ignore. And yes, it has been parodied on Family Guy. Which unforgivably dumb DC movie moments make you facepalm the most? Shout them out in the comments!
