Another long-time aspect of Peter Parker's existence is his pet name from girlfriend/wife/ex-wife/forgotten he exists Mary Jane Watson.

When Peter, MJ, and Ned are returning to school, and Peter has been outed, they are met with a large crowd at the entrance to the school. Among those in attendance is Betty Brant, a young social media reporter who breathlessly analyzes Peter's current state of affairs and urges him to 'Go get 'em Tiger'

This ties into Peter's history in several ways. Aside from being the school mascot of Peter's fictional Midtown High, Peter himself has been called 'Tiger' by Mary Jane since Amazing Spider-Man #25. This was the culmination of a running joke that saw Peter trying to be connected to a mystery girl that he kept missing due to Spider-Man duties. When he finally made the connection, he was shocked to meet the beautiful redhead Mary Jane, who told him 'Face it Tiger, you just hit the jackpot'

The name stuck as MJ and Peter began dating and finally married.

The use of the name is also a nice callback to MJ's last line in Spider-Man 2, where she uses the line 'Go get 'em Tiger' verbatim as Peter swings into action.
