The English translation of the German word "rammbock" is battering ram or a large hard tool used to beat in a door or wall. And that's precisely the right term that can be used for this film, as it pretty much does that to the zombie genre. In other words, this movie is awesome.

The story revolves around a heartbroken guy, who returns to Berlin in hopes of winning back the affections of his ex-girlfriend. Instead, what he arrives to is an apartment with a couple workers fixing up the place and no ex-GF in sight. Shortly after arriving one of the workers begins foaming at the mouth and attacks the other, which sets the pace and story for the rest of the flick. The movie focuses on the man and a teen boy, as they attempt to survive the ordeal in the apartment complex.

Remember that scene in The Raid: Redemption, where they use an axe to cut through the apartment floors in order to escape a different sort of horde? They do something similar here, except with a makeshift battering ram. It's nutter butters, and you’d regret it if you didn’t experience the mayhem for yourself.
