20 Feel Good Movies You Need To Watch Now

4. Mrs Doubtfire (1993)

Nearly any Robin Williams movie could be placed on this list. Dead Poets Society for its sheer motivation, Aladdin for being an energetic musical, Hook for evoking nostalgia etc. To be honest, even RV was quite enjoyable. But Mrs Doubtfire is the ultimate one for being a perfect combination of what makes Robin Williams movies such feel-good fun – the whole film is a showcasing of Williams’ talents for quick-witted humour and impressions/voices. And Mrs Doubtfire is a delightful character (a character played by a character) thanks to her charming Scottish brogue and dance skills.

Admittedly, the story of a divorced man disguising himself as his wife’s nanny to be around his kids which he’s been given a court order not to be around so often is a bit regressive in these modern times but the performance of the late great Robin Williams is strong enough for this family comedy to remain charming, carefree and hilarious, even after 25+ years.
