20 Films That Starred 3 Or More Harry Potter Actors
12. Alice Through The Looking Glass (2016)
Potter Actors Featured: Helena Bonham Carter, Rhys Ifans, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall, Toby Jones
The sequel to Tim Burton's 2010 reboot of Alice in Wonderland featured more Potter actors than the orignal, with a total of five involved in Alice Through the Looking Glass. Imelda Staunton (who voiced the Tall Flower Faces) didn't return for the second film, but Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix LeStrange), Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) and Timothy Spall (Wormtail) were joined by Rhys Ifans (Xeno Lovegood) and Toby Jones (Dobby).
James Bobin's film begins three years after the events of the first. In that time Alice has followed in her father's footsteps, sailing the high seas and demonstrating exceptional skill as a merchant ship captain. When she returns home from a voyage to China she discovers that her ex-fiancé Hamish Ascot has taken over her father's company, which fuels her desire to return to Underland.
Despite the many failings in the script, the talents of the cast were enough to retain some of the magic Burton created, with Helena Bonham Carter bringing her usual A-game as the foul-tempered Queen of Hearts and Rhys Ifans a welcome addition as Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter's father.
