Ghostbusters is arguably the greatest comedy horror movie ever made and was a major platform for the rise to mega-stardom for the likes of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. 1989's Ghostbusters II was nowhere near as good, as it was aimed more at children and felt like a less funny, watered-down version of the original, but it proved to be nearly as popular as its predecessor in terms of box office success.
