20 Flawless Scenes From 2021 Movies

The ending of many, many films will see the two main characters get together. It's a trope as old as time, but Paul Thomas Anderson's delightful Licorice Pizza offers one of the best examples of this ending you'll ever see.

The 'Will They, Won't They' dynamic between Gary (Cooper Hoffman) and Alana (Alana Haim) is exceptionally well-done throughout the film, with everything about their relationship feeling heartfelt and believable.

Thanks to this superb writing and the brilliant performances by Hoffman and Haim, two newcomers who are clearly destined for greatness, audiences will be completely invested in their relationship and desperate for the pair to finally admit they love each other and get together; once they finally kiss at the end, it'll be hard for viewers not to cheer.

Viewers are likely to forget about the sizeable age gap between the two characters, which is a definitive testament to this movie's absolute skill. This is one of the year's best endings for sure.
