16. Drill Through The Head - City Of The Living Dead (1980)
Nobody ever dies pleasantly in a Lucio Fulci movie. Case in point: this poor schmuck from 1980's hardcore City Of The Living Dead.
The film follows a reporter and a psychic who race to close the Gates of Hell after the suicide of a clergyman caused them to open, allowing the dead to rise from the grave. This scene in particular, though, has nothing to do with reanimated corpses: instead, there's an angry father, his daughter's boyfriend, and a power drill. You probably know where this is going.
Fulci cuts between the young mans terrified expression and an increasing close-up of the drill before the two finally meet. His screams ring out until the drill emerges from the other side of his face.
