20 Gory Movie Moments That Left Horror Fans Cheering
15. Ricky Vs. The Warden - Riki-Oh: The Story Of Ricky (1991)
Riki-Oh (also known as Riki-Oh: The Story Of Ricky) is a Hong Kong film adaptation of a manga of the same name directed by Lam Nai-Choi. Ricky Ho, played by Fan Siu-wong, is basically an invincible martial artist who practices a particular kind of kung-fu called Qigong.
In this action/horror/comedy hybrid (set in a dystopian future), Ricky is sentenced to ten years in prison for murdering a crime lord in an act of revenge. In prison he meets various characters, and gets in plenty of ridiculously over-the-top fights.
During the final fight scene of the film the prison's Warden reveals that he too is a martial artist, transforming into a grotesque creature. The fight quickly ends with Ricky crippling and throwing the mutated Warden into a meat grinder, pushing him through until his body oozes out the other side. It's quite ridiculous but bloody entertaining nonetheless.
