20 Great Movies Since 2000 That You Forgot Existed
4. Spy Game (2001)
Remember Spy Game? This movie stars both Brad Pitt and Robert Redford in a thriller that - above all - offers audiences the chance to escape and enjoy themselves for the sum of two hours, guilt-free. It's made especially more interesting due to the fact that Robert Redford was pretty much the Brad Pitt of his day. Generation-y! Tony Scott directs this fast-paced action flick, then, whereupon Redford's CIA operative - on the verge of retirement, would you believe? - must travel abroad to rescue his former colleague Brad Pitt, who has gone rogue and is need of some rescuing. It's a neat premise in movie defined by several great lead performances. Is it mind-blowing in its goodness? No. Is it ever going to find itself ranked amongst the greatest movies of all-time? Definitely not. Did you forget it was a thing until this list just reminded you? Absolutely. Regardless, Spy Game is smart and solid movie, one that is certainly worthy of your time - or as something to have on in the background when you've got a bunch of friends over.
