20 Greatest Entrances In Film History

13. Rhett Butler - Gone With The Wind

Sometimes you see someone and you can just tell by the look on their face that they're imagining having sex with you. That's kind of what Clark Gable as Rhett Butler looks like all the time, and its a big part of why so many people adore the character. It goes without saying that that sort of thing was frowned upon, to say the least, in the Civil War era South. But Rhett Butler? Well, not to be too on the nose, but he just doesn't give a damn. When Scarlett O'Hara first sees him, famously standing at the bottom of a flight of stars smirking up at her, she is equal parts scandalized and intrigued. It's the beginning of a tempestuous, destructive relationship, but it's easy to forget that when you see the way they look at each other in this scene.
