20 Greatest Movie Psychos Of All Time

10. Anton Chigurh - No Country For Old Men (2007)

no country for old men Chigurh is the epitome of a psychopath. His stupid bowl hairdo makes him even scarier. He is a hired assassin with a cold heart and blatant disregard for human life - indeed, he tosses a coin to decide whether to kill or not. But he has his own set of twisted morals - never random killing or killing without a 'motive'. He sees himself as a card dealer, dispensing justice to those who are accountable. Chigurh nearly kills everyone he comes across in the film. And escapes scot free. The Coen brothers see Chigurh as a kind of modern day Death as featured in Ingmar Bergman's Seventh Seal. Actor Javier Bardem was awarded an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA such was the might of his portrayal of the psycho Anton Chigurh.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
