20 Greatest Movie Psychos Of All Time

8. Michael Myers - Halloween Franchise:

01.04.2013mike 2 Michael Myers, throughout the Halloween Franchise, has been portrayed as the epitome of an evil psychopath. He is almost supernatural in the force of his killing - the big bad bogey man who won't stay down. Does he give a toss about the killings or is it mainly his diabolical psycho-ness? For when he kills there is just silence and a mask to confront. Who is he? Why does he keep appearing and what's his motivation? Directors like to keep Michael Myers as enigmatic as possible. He never speaks (a move that would totally demystify him) or removes his mask, except for one film in which he takes off his mask and sheds a tear (lame!). I don't pay too much attention to the Halloween films but a soft and sensitive Michael who suddenly developed morals would be unpalatable. Keep him as the mysterious psycho who frightens the bejaysus out of everyone. A bogey man for all time.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
