20 Greatest Movie Psychos Of All Time

16. Mr Blonde - Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Reservoir Dogs We first see Mr Blonde sitting in a diner talking with his fellow soon to be bank robbers. The heist is a disaster. It turns out Mr Blonde is a psycho and shot several civilians - way out of the heist's remit. He has also kidnapped a policeman whom he proceeds to torture and cut off the poor guy's ear (mercifully off screen) all to the cheery tune 'Stuck In The Middle With You'. Mr Blonde executes this extreme act of torture with a little jig. He finally throws petrol all over the policeman and goes to set fire to him but a half dead Mr Orange shoots him down. He was only on the screen for a small proportion of the film but Mr Blonde's psycho shenanigans are usually the first thing people think of when Reservoir Dogs is mentioned. At a screening of the film in a Spanish film festival, 15 people walked out including Wes Craven. The man who created uber psycho Krug (Last House on the Left) was shocked and appalled by Mr Blonde's wanton psychoness.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
