20 Greatest Video Game Movie Moments EVER
1. Project Shadow - Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Post-credits scenes are all the rage nowadays courtesy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but last year's Sonic the Hedgehog 2 offered up a credits stinger more exciting than anything the MCU has teased in years.
The scene shows G.U.N. Commander Walters (Tom Butler) combing the wreckage of Dr. Robotnik's last known location, when he's informed that his team have uncovered co-ordinates leading to a secret research facility.
When Walters is told that the file in question dates back 50 years, he utters with dramatic recognition, "Project Shadow," just as we see Shadow the Hedgehog indeed being unearthed at the facility, his eyes lighting up as he awakens.
For Sonic fans young and old, this was a predictable tease for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 but not any less of a mic drop as a result. To know that Shadow is coming to kick ass and take names was a perfect example of filmmakers giving the audience what they want. This is how you set up a sequel.
Needless to say, Sonic 3 is gonna make some mad bank.
