Margery Mason should be used as the poster girl for never stopping doing what you love. She became an actress in 1923 and stunningly continued to act into 2005, with her final appearance coming in TV show Brief Encounters in 2006. A year before that, at the age of 92, she replaced Jean Southern as the Honeydukes' trolley witch, pushing candy on the kids as they journeyed to Hogwarts.

The veteran actor was a marvel, learning to scuba diving at the age of 81, swimming five times a week until she was 99 and generally being a great advert for how to make it to a long, fulfilled life. Her other film credits included Love Actually, The Princess Bride and 101 Dalmations.

She died, aged 100 on 26th January 2014 peacefully at her home in Swiss Cottage.
