This low-budget Irish sci-fi horror comedy comes from director Jon Wright (whose other films include bully revenge horror Tormented and this year’s sci-fi actioner Robot Overlords) and focuses on a sleepy seaside Irish town which has been invaded by bloodsucking aliens.

It’s then up to local policeman Ciaran (Richard Coyle) and some other heoic residents to save the day, discovering that the only way to survive is to, well, get stinking drunk.

It’s a highly entertaining and inventive mash-up of monster action, hilarious comedy, heart and soul, and some genuinely impressive CGI that puts most bigger budget movies of its ilk to shame. It pretty much does for aliens what Shaun Of The Dead did for zombies.
