9. Jurassic World
Chart Position: 2nd Worldwide Gross: $1,668,984.926 Jurassic World is the second most successful film and franchise reboot of 2015, and though it was predictably overtaken by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it remains that, right now, the film is behind only that, Avatar, and Titanic as the biggest movie ever made. Of course, as weve seen so far, box office success rarely equates to critical success, but, even still, Jurassic Worlds numbers are pretty impressive. Fun and stupid, the film is no match for Steven Spielbergs original, and its interesting how the effects of the 93 Jurassic Park are still superior to the ones on show here, which rank nowhere near the top of the scale in terms of great cinematic CGI. That aside, Jurassic World is bolstered immeasurably by Chris Pratt, whose natural charisma and star-power lend the film a great central character. It probably doesnt deserve to be so, but the film is now an undeniable behemoth of recent blockbuster cinema and for that it deserves some credit.
