18. The Legend Of Tarzan

Suicide Squad
Warner Bros.

Box Office: $356.7 million (#19)

Nobody wanted a gritty Tarzan reboot, but they did it anyway! While Alexander Skarsgard kills the lead role and Samuel L. Jackson is a hoot, the core of this film is a generic origin story suffused with boring dialogue and some horrendously bad CGI-driven action sequences.

The main problem is the desperation it wreaks of: Warner Bros. are clearly aching to spin this into a series, and while that may happen with its solid box office run, the follow-up will need to put far more effort into fashioning a good story, rather than just hoping Skarsgard's washboard abs will carry the bulk of the weight.
