20 Idiotic Decisions Made By Characters In The Dark Knight Saga

11. The CIA Don't Look At Bane Before Loading Him Onto The Plane - The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises opens with an awesome set-piece that has the CIA loading bag-headed prisoners onto an aircraft, whereupon they proceed to "torture" them in order to gather information regarding a terrorist named Bane. Little do they know, however, that one such prisoner on board is actually Bane - to the shock of the lead agent, the terrorist reveals himself, and proceeds to hijack the aircraft through a carefully thought-out plan. It's a cool scene, but it also brings a few key questions to the table. Questions like: didn't they check his face before?! Think about it: somebody had to put that bag over Bane's head in the first place, and given that he's identifiable by way of his extremely memorable breathing apparatus, how the hell did the CIA manage to get so far through their torture scheme without realising that they had him? The answer, of course, is that they simply didn't bother checking the faces of their prisoners, which you have to admit is an incredibly dumb thing to do. Surely the plan should never have gotten to the point where Bane was loaded onto the aircraft in the first place? Super awful.
