9. The Entire Police Force Make Light Of Gordon's Warnings About Bane - The Dark Knight Rises

Commissioner Gordon is the Commissioner of Gotham; he's literally one of the most respected officers in the whole city, and he's accomplished a great deal of things over the span of his career - which is why he's Commissioner, after all. He's trusted and he gets result. People like him. Towards the beginning of The Dark Knight Rises, however, something strange occurs: having just escaped within an inch of his life from the clutches of Bane, he awakens to find himself hospitalised. Here, he recounts his tale of Bane's super secret sewer lair. What should have happened at this point is something along the lines of: "Okay, Gordon, we believe you because we have no reason not to believe you - plus, we've had supervillains in Gotham before, so what you're actually saying isn't all that weird at all. It makes a lot of sense, actually." Nope: Gordon's fellow officers refuse to believe the one man in Gotham who wouldn't make this sh*t up, despite the fact that Gordon is clearly wounded and has absolutely no reason to lie. Instead, they make jokes about him seeing "over-sized alligators." What?!
